To thrive, and in fact just to survive, business needs to be ever more responsive to the needs of its customers, employees, suppliers and other partners, responsive to the value they all bring and the value they all need to see in order to keep them interested let alone fired up.

This requires learning better together and working better together. It requires we navigate complexity – and not, as some would have it, pretend we can dumb it down. And it requires we improve the delivery of technology’s promise, especially as technology is a primary driver of change and integral to our response to it.

And of course no business is an island – better business contributes to building better societies. We’re inspired by Gandhi’s proclamation:

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problems.

In short, we do this because better business is better for those involved, and everyone else too in the longer term.
